The study found that the oral intake of blueberries could reduce the growth and metastasis of a very aggressive form of breast cancer (triple-negative cancer) - for which there are very few effective drugs. When researchers applied blueberry extracts to cancer cells in the laboratory it appeared to stop the growth and spread of a tumor.
